RADIO ADVERTISING

Radio ads are still an excellent form of promotion – both locally and nationally. Campaigns on radio are less expensive than television, and just as effective. In addition, they allow you to reach a slightly more specific audience, which is important for businesses with a more specific target.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO ADVERTISE ON THE RADIO?

The price of advertising on radio is highly variable over time and… space. For example, advertising on local radio stations is much cheaper than on large radio stations. The cost per spot broadcast is also dependent on the time of day and month. During periods of special demand for advertising, such as before holidays or during black week, prices increase, as do the hours of peak listening.

RADIO ADVERTISING - EXAMPLES

The main forms of radio advertising are:

  • classic advertising spots, which use the voices of voice-over artists or actors,
  • jingles, which are short songs of an advertising nature,
  • contests for listeners sponsored by the advertiser,
  • participation of a company representative in a radio program.

Importantly, radio campaigns are often complementary to TV campaigns. Sometimes they have an identical audio message – the sound is then taken from the TV spot. This is an option recommended especially for companies with limited advertising budgets.

RADIO STATIONS

Among the most popular radio stations with which you can undertake advertising cooperation are:

  • Eska
  • RMF FM
  • TOK FM
  • VOX FM
  • Radio Plus
  • Radio Zet

ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF RADIO ADVERTISING

In addition to the above-mentioned advantages of radio advertising, such issues as broadcast flexibility and ease of reception should also be mentioned. Well-written radio spots are easily remembered by potential customers, which is of great value to the advertiser. On the other hand, as in the case of TV ads, analysis of the effectiveness of radio ads is limited.
